Street Children

“I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me…” Mathew 25:35-36.

“I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me”. Mathew 25:40

Children find in the railway stations and streets a suitable place for their shelter and beg for their livelihood. Children live in a situation where there is no protection or direction from responsible adults. The main reasons they leave home are due to poverty, lack of love, alcoholic parents, disputed families etc. Children who leave home for one or another reasons feel the railway station more natural than their home.

Street children faces often lack of Food, Shelter, Harassment from anti Social Elements, Police, Drug Abuse etc. They have no access to education and information opportunities to grow as normal, healthy and happy children. Begging is the immediate occupation for the survival of new entrant children. In a condition of struggle of food, they are not bothering about dress, health care, washing, bathing etc. Because of their life style, the street children have very poor health condition. There is really no one to care for them in times of illness or emergency. They have no savings to the cost of medicines and doctors fees. When injured, they leave the wound unattended. Thus they learn to live with diseases.

We rescue and rehabilitate Street Children, Abused, Destitute and Needy Children and provide basic necessities of life like Health Care, Water, Nutrition, Clothes, Shelter, Formal and Non-Formal Education, Repatriation, Vocational Training and Counseling for Street and Railway Station.
